This policy describes what happens to information when you use sheetdo.com. The short version: we do not ask you to create an account, your practice progress stays in your browser, and the public site uses Google Analytics.

What we do not collect
You can use the practice hall, guides, cheatsheets, and tools without giving a name, email address, or password. We do not run a user database, and we do not sell personal information.
What stays on your device
When you pass an exercise, the browser saves a local record: which exercise, when you passed it, how long it took, and the formula you submitted. A display preference (whether function tags are hidden) is saved the same way. This uses the browser's localStorage. SheetDo's servers do not receive that record.
Clearing site data for sheetdo.com in your browser deletes it. Using another browser or device starts from an empty record.
Analytics
The published site loads Google Analytics (measurement ID G-S3JRR25KSB) so we can see which pages are used. Google may set cookies and receive technical information such as the page you viewed, a rough location derived from your IP address, and your browser and device type. We use those reports in aggregate. We do not use them to identify you, and we do not turn on Google's advertising features.
Google may process this information outside your country, including in the United States. Their notices are here: How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services and Google's Privacy Policy. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking analytics cookies in your browser.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare and from the server that stores the static files. Those providers may process technical data such as your IP address, the page requested, and the time of the request in connection logs, in order to deliver the site and limit abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Pages are static. Fonts are files we host ourselves, not a third-party font service.
Advertising
SheetDo does not show ads and does not use advertising cookies. If that changes, this page will describe the cookies and how to opt out before any ads appear.
If you write to [email protected], we use the message to read it and reply. We do not add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter signup on the site.
Links to other sites
Some pages, including the free Excel books directory, link to other websites. Those sites have their own policies, and this policy stops when you leave sheetdo.com.
Children
SheetDo is a general education site for people learning spreadsheet formulas. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of the page. The current version is the one published at /privacy.
